A private bush sanctuary
built on four stands.

Kruger Owl House is a spacious, self-catering bush home nestled in a secluded corner of Marloth Park. Built on four stands, it offers a rare combination of comfort, privacy, and authentic African wilderness — all without a fence between you and nature.

From the large stoep, guests can watch kudu, nyala, warthog and more pass by at any hour,  giving you the Marloth Park experience at its best, and is close enough to walk to the river viewpoint. A splash pool keeps the summer heat at bay, and the enclosed braai area invites long evenings under the stars.

What you need to know

What you need to know

The house is monkey and baboon proof. Please keep the security doors closed to stop animals from entering the house. When you leave the house please make sure the windows are closed, because if the wind blows it sometimes moves the curtains and sets off the alarm, generating an unnecessary trip for Field Security. We are charged for these callouts and they will in turn be deducted from your security deposit refund.

Should you need any further information, the people working at Field Security are another great resource for answering questions. This is a malaria area, please take the necessary precautions. Close all doors at sunset and sunrise to prevent mosquitos from entering the house. Keep the mosquito screens down unless quickly opening or closing a window.

On the edge of
the Kruger
National Park

On the bank of the Crocodile River between Malelane and Komatipoort on the N4 national highway, Marloth Park is a wildlife sanctuary and holiday town. It boasts four of the “Big Five” with the exception of elephant. Buffalo, rhino and lion are confined to Marloth’s game reserve “Lionspruit”; the rest of the game such as kudu, zebra, giraffe, blue wildebeest, nyala, impala, warthog, ostrich and others aren’t restricted by fences and roam freely between the units that are built on 3000 ha.

On the southern boundary of the Kruger National Park, Crocodile Bridge gate is 14 km and Malelane gate 35 km from Marloth Park.
